About us
International Schools Group (formerly Saudi Arabian International Schools - SAIS) consists of three divisions: the American division based on a U.S. model curriculum; the British division delivering the British National curriculum; and the International division patterned after a U.S. curriculum with the addition of a National Languages Program offering Arabic, Hindi, Filipino, and Urdu. Our programs accommodate every level of elementary and secondary education beginning with Pre-reception or Pre-KG and culminating in full High School and Key Stage Four programs.
The four schools within the American division are fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. This accreditation is accepted and recognized throughout the world. As a whole, the SAT10 standardized test scores average well above the US national norm. Dhahran British Grammar School participates fully in the British National Curriculum. "End of Key Stage" National Curriculum testing is completed every year with high results. Dhahran British Grammar School was accredited by the Council of International Schools (www.cois.org) in November 2009 and successfully completed the demanding OFSTED inspection process in 1997 - 1998. The International Division schools gained accreditation on December 1, 2004 through the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
As of May 2010, the proposed Dhahran Baccalaureate Centre received approval as an official candidate school from the International Baccalaureate Organization (www.ibo.org). With this approval, International Schools Group is one step closer to making the Dhahran Baccalaureate Centre a reality. Once approved by the IBO, ISG will offer the first IB classes during the 2011 school year. Please consult the Dhahran Baccalaureate Centre page on this website for further updates.
Incorporated into the three major divisions, ISG has seven individual schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Despite diverse locations, our schools maintain a common focus. Diversity in geographic location, student population, and core divisional curricula provide invaluable strengths. Through technology, we keep in contact with each other as we strive to educate future citizens of the world.
Our student population represents over forty different countries. The American and British divisions are staffed with Western-trained educators. The International division meets the needs of a multi-national student population with a multi-national and highly-qualified teaching staff.
