ISG Jubail
Jubail Academy (Jubail American School) was established in 1978 and was initially contracted by the Royal commission to serve expatriates in the Jubail Industrial City. Jubail British School was established in 1983. In 2005, Jubail American School and Jubail British School combined and are now known as ISG Jubail.
Offering the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) developed by Fieldwork Education, Ltd. UK for students aged 4 years to 12years, students learn through an international, holistic, thematic approach. Students study English/language arts, mathematics, science, information technology, design technology, history, geography, music, physical education, Arabic language and culture, art and society.
Students in grades 7 – 10 (12 years to 16 years) continue their education using the American curriculum that includes studies in English/language arts, science, mathematics, social studies, and physical education. They also have a wide variety of electives to choose from, including media, music, technology, art, drama, problem solving contemporary issues, physiology and French.
For students who are not proficient in the English language, English as a Second Language course is offered. In accordance with Board policy, ISG Jubail does not admit students with special needs.
ISG Jubail offers students after-school activities in the areas of sports, music, art, and clubs. Depending on the grade level, students may participate in volleyball, basketball, chess, cricket, football, netball, Student Council, arts and crafts, guitar, piano, rock climbing, Gulf explorations, after-school musicals and other activities offered throughout the school year.
