DBGS and ISG Jubail Featured by TIE International Educator - May 2012

In the Spring issue of The International Educator, produced by TIE, ISG teachers from Dhahran British Grammar School (DBGS) and ISG Jubail are recognized for their efforts in helping students reach their potential by integrating rock climbing and adventurous outdoor programs into their physical education curriculum and after-school activities. The International Educator is distributed to international teachers and schools around the globe.

Described as a "lifetime sport" by ISG Jubail climbing leader and mathematics teacher Ray Timm, rock climbing builds our students' strength, agility, balance and self-confidence. At DBGS, students have undergone a transformative process as adventurers, climbers and mentors following successful realization of the International Award for Young People (IAY) program, culminating in a recent expedition to Oman along with numerous challenging camping/hiking excursions through the desert.
